proper noun/aˈbanto/

a village and municipality of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain; a surname

From Andalusian Arabic abántuh ("his daughter") which could also mean "disoriented", "silly". It has been suggested as so because women, especially damsels, were seen as unaware of daily issues as they lived a pampered life and as a result were "disoriented".
