Cuban solenodon (Atopogale cubana) (small nocturnal insectivorous mammal with long snout and venomous saliva native to Cuba)

Of obscure origin, possibly from two different Ciboney or Taíno words as it is native to Cuba. almizcle (“musk”) and almizclero (“muskrat”) are similar, but probably unrelated.
