"To give" — short and irregular (doy, das, da), and the base of several idioms where English wouldn't guess "give" at all: dar un paseo (to take a walk), dar igual (to not matter), me da miedo (it scares me — literally "it gives me fear").

• Te doy mi número. — I'll give you my number.
• Vamos a dar un paseo. — Let's take a walk.
• Me da igual. — It's all the same to me.

Missing that many "give" idioms don't translate literally — dar un paseo isn't "give a walk," it's the standard way to say "take a walk," and learners often default to tomar (take) instead, which sounds off here.
