To blind someone, literally or figuratively (anger or passion that blinds judgment); also to go blind. Conjugates like conocer: enceguezco in the yo form. Common in Latin America, where it is a literary alternative to cegar.
Forgetting the -zco in the yo form of the present (enceguezco, not encegueco) and in the whole present subjunctive.
Often confused with cegar.
