a former hamlet in the commune of Courtemaux, Loiret department, Centre-Val de Loire, France
Literally, “Death to the Jews”. It seems likely that the name is a corruption of some older name (albeit surely not an entirely accidental corruption). One theory derives it from an underlying la mare au juin (“the liquid manure pond”).
