Almost always seen in the fixed, slightly old-fashioned expression ça boume — 'things are going well,' used as a casual greeting (Ça boume ? — How's it going?) or a positive reply. On its own it can also describe business booming (les affaires boument).

• Alors, ça boume ? — So, how's it going?
• Ça boume, merci, et toi ? — Things are good, thanks, and you?
• Les ventes boument depuis l'ouverture du magasin. — Sales have been booming since the shop opened.

Ça boume is dated/retro slang — still understood by all ages but it can sound nostalgic or comical in the mouth of a young speaker today, closer to 'groovy' than a neutral 'how's it going.'
